The Enrollment Process
Finding the Perfect Match

Waxahachie Preparatory Academy works because the families that are here belong here. The admission process at WPA is designed to bring the school together with families that create a perfect fit. The process is extensive and thorough and, by the end of the enrollment process, WPA knows you and you know WPA. Our goal is to make sure that WPA and the University-Model are right for you.
Admission Requirements
Following is a brief overview of what to expect during the enrollment process. For a printable checklist, click on the menu choice "Enrollment Checklist" to the left.
- Information Meeting – Attend an Information Meeting to obtain your Admission Packet
- Application Checklist – Complete and return your packet to reserve your child’s spot as soon as possible. Pay a $75 application fee (waived if application received by April 30, 2010), and return various medical forms and records, Parent Agreement, School Records and Recommendations, Birth Certificate, and other documents..
- Placement Testing - Placement testing will help determine the student’s readiness for the grade level and ability to meet the academic expectations of the program. This placement testing is for 3rd – 12th grade. The standard testing fee is $45.00.
- Reference Checks - An admission committee member will begin the student reference checks.
- Admission Family Interview - A Family Interview will be scheduled with the parents and prospective student when the first four steps have been completed. This meeting will be a thirty-minute interview with a board member and/or an admission committee representative.
- Acceptance Letter - Once the above steps have been completed, a letter of the acceptance status is mailed to the family. Following notification of acceptance, the family has two weeks in which to respond by enrolling in classes. The applicant is considered enrolled when classes have been chosen with the school and the tuition registration deposit is submitted to the academy. You are then officially a member of the WPA Family!
